Tour Itinerary

Everyday schedule of this tour you should know

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur & First Safari

– Arrival:
– Reach jaipur airport by 9AM and transfer to our stay (approx. 3hrs).
– Check-in: Settle into the Guest house near the wetland.
– Orientation Session:
– Overview of Bharatpur’s birdlife and photographic opportunities.
– Tips for photographing birds in wetland ecosystems: lighting, composition, and settings.
– Gear setup and preparation.

Afternoon Session (Session 1):
– Enter the Keoladeo National Park.
-Golden hour light provides stunning opportunities to photograph birds returning to their nests.
– Dinner: Group discussion and critique of the day’s photographs.
-Overnight Stay: At the Home Stay.

Day 2-3: Safaris & Photography Sessions

Day 2:
– 6:00 AM: Enter the Keoladeo National Park for a full day session. Morning light offers great opportunities for capturing bird activity and landscapes. Focus on migratory birds, waders, and large waterfowl.
– Key Targets : Sarus cranes, painted storks, pelicans, spoonbills, and cormorants.
-10:00 AM: Break for tea/snacks at designated park rest areas.
– 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Continue exploring the park, focusing on backlighting and creative compositions.
Afternoon
-1:00 PM: Lunch inside the park.
Evening
– PM: Golden hour light provides stunning opportunities to photograph birds returning to their nests.
-Key Targets: Egrets, herons, darters, and reflections in water.
– 7:00 PM: Return to the hotel.
– 8:00 PM: Dinner followed by a review session of the day’s best shots and post processing.
Day 3:
Morning Full Day Workshop inside the park
– 5:30 AM: Enter the park early to capture the sunrise and morning bird activity.
– Key Targets: Raptors (marsh harriers, owls), kingfishers, and smaller passerines.
-9:00 AM: Tea/snack break at the park.
– 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Continue shooting with a focus on behavior photography, such as feeding, preening, and courtship displays.
Afternoon
-12:30 PM: Lunch inside the park.
-3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Advanced photography session covering composition, exposure management, and creative techniques like silhouettes and panning.
Evening
– 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Sunset shoot at the park. Focus on silhouettes, group dynamics, and habitat shots.
– Key Targets: Flying geese, ducks, and ibis flocks.
– 7:00 PM: Return to the hotel.
– 8:00 PM: Dinner and a storytelling session featuring your experiences and photography insights and deck presentation.

Day 4: Final Safari & Departure

– Special Techniques and Farewell
– Morning
– 5:30 AM: Head to the park for the final morning shoot. Emphasis on capturing action shots like birds in flight and interactions.
– Key Targets: Raptors, eagles, and migratory species like Siberian cranes (if present).
– 10:30 AM: Exit the park for a final tea/snack break.

-11 AM: Return to the hotel, pack up, and gather for a feedback session.

– Departure
– 11.30 AM: Participants can check out and begin their journeys towards Jaipur airport.
Optional recommendations for exploring local attractions like the Bharatpur Palace or Lohagarh Fort if time permits.

Additional Notes:

Safari Timings: Safari timings will vary according to season/month
Photography Equipment: Bring your camera with long zoom lenses for wildlife photography.
We don't recommend you to carry tripod in any of our tiger safaries.
Ideally, 300mm and above lenses are recommended along with a 70-200 f/2.8 would be very helpful for closer sightings of animals, and your 70-200 would be helpful for landscape and habitat shots.
Clothing: We wont recommend you to wear any light or neon colour dresses. That distracts the animal or bird. Bring comfortable walking shoes, hats, and sunscreen for safaris. Take your medicines as per your requirement.
Fitness: Safaris can involve long periods of sitting in vehicles. So suitable for most people.

* Twin sharing accommodation and three times food during the trip.

* Safari permits and all safari charges.

* Pick up & Drop to Jaipur Airport/ Railway station.

* Any airfare / Railway Tickets.

* Single accommodation will charge you extra cost.
* Camera fees if any.
* Any kind of personal expenses or optional tours, extra meals, and beverages ordered.
* Insurance, laundry, and phone calls.
* Bottled water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages.
* Anything that is not listed under ‘inclusions’.
